Maia Shortt

I am a final-year student at Leiden University and current Head of Journal at Freed’Op. What started as a simple editors role over a year ago took an unexpected turn into leading the journal’s content production. I ensure publications flow on the weekly, and collaborate with a bright and diligent team of editors. I supervise both the editors and investigative journalism department, ensuring both creative visions and operational aspects run smoothly. I am highly passionate about authentic story telling, and eager help writers reflect their true voices in their work while striving integrity and impact.
